There has been a small debate taking place in the Wichita Eagle Automobile Ads about the “cost” of routine maintenance between a certain Wichita BMW dealership and Scholfield Auto Plaza (the number one Luxury Automotive Retailer in Wichita!). In fact, said BMW Dealership ran a spot in last weekend’s Eagle that showed the cost of three years maintenance on certain BMW vehicles versus some of our Brands (Lexus, Acura, Mercedes-Benz—again, the Number 1, 2, and 3 selling Luxury Brands in Wichita).
We did a little fact checking on Edmunds.com (their source) and found out that model after model after model the truth about “free” maintenance is that it is not free. In fact, the “True Cost to Own”, Edmunds.com’s five year estimator, shows a VERY different picture.
